 Maghull Ramblers:

Maghull Ramblers offer a variety of walks to suit all abilities, from an easy 4 miles with few hills to a 10-12 mile trek across the fells.  

Travel to the start of the walks is by car, public transport or monthly coach trips. 

There is also a social side, meeting at Maghull Royal British Legion on the first Tuesday of each month from 7.30 pm.

Anyone joining Maghull Ramblers for the first time after April 1st may have an introductory offer of six month’s membership for £5.

 VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES AT PARKHAVEN TRUST

 

Parkhaven Trust is a registered charity based in Maghull, North Liverpool.

It provides a wide range of services to support people with dementia, older people and people with learning and physical disabilities.

 Gain new friends and make a difference to those who use our services and your community.

Even if you only have a couple of hours to spare, you will be offered the opportunity to put your time to good use.

Training and support will be provided for all volunteers, but a caring nature and an interest in those who use our services is essential.

 

So, WHAT CAN I DO ?

Activities -

Lead, or assist, in group activities such as knitting, flower arranging, singing and reminiscence.

Gardener/Grounds person -

Help our grounds staff with general maintenance, mowing, planting, woodland conservation, and maintain our one mile pathway.

Gardener -

Keen gardeners to maintain our courtyard gardens and lawn areas, and help those who use our services to maintain small vegetable and flower patches.

Befriender -

Assist people who use our services e.g. weekly shop, help organise coffee morning/lunches, reading, short walks and supporting staff on day trips.
